Great update. Love the flyout menus and streamlining of the toolbar. Glad to see drag and drop for media as well.
Nice job, WP.

I took the kids to the Muppets Movie this afternoon. If there was ever a case of “Generation Gap”, this was it. I thoroughly enjoyed it and all of the cute 80′s references. The smaller kids in the theatre screeched with delight at every Kermit/Ms. Piggy/Fozzy Bear joke. My boys (8 & 10) were less than thrilled, and the ten year old pronounced that all of the singing was “annoying”.
If you grew up with The Muppets, you’ll find the even more endearing now than you did in your youth. Jason Segel plays a fantastic human foil to Kermit, Piggy, et. al. The love story between Jason and Amy Adams is tender, funny and appropriately starry eyed. Kermit and Miss Piggy, on the other hand, have a far more intemperate affair. They range back and forth from sweet to homicidal.
If you’ve got young kids, go see it. Highly recommended.
If you’re a product of the 1976-1988 time frame, REALLY go see it. Highly recommended, almost mandatory.
If you’re from the 90′s, I’d say see it if you’ve got a good attitude for whimsy.
You’ve gotta love how easy ManageWP makes handling multiple blogs. Great tool!
Here we go again. Basketball at 10:00, another game at 12:00, then time to buy the baseball gear. It’ll be a $500.00 day before we even do groceries and BJ’s. Just once I’d like to lay around the house, watch TV, have a few snacks, and not hear complaining from the kids about “I’m bored!”
That’d be nice.
OK, so it’s 12:18AM and I’m still wide awake. Ambien CR and Benadryl have yet to do their dirty work. I took them 2 hours ago. I came downstairs and drank a glass of milk, which sometimes helps. I desperately need to get this under control.
I’ve got a meeting at 8:30 in the morning, and then calls straight through the day until 5:00. I only have 2 breaks in the day – 1/2 hour each. Other than that, I’m on the line all day long.
Coffee, you better be my friend tomorrow. I’m gonna need you.
It’s 4 days until Christmas day, and all the presents have been purchased, most have been wrapped, the menus for the various parties have been completed, and now we just need some last minute grocery shopping to pick up supplies for the dishes. We got 12″ of snow (or thereabouts), and it was beautiful to look at for a brief time. Now it just looks like a lot of work to clear, and a potentially dangerous place for folks to walk. As I get older, I think about this kind of thing more often. I’m not worried for me, but Karen’s Mother is over 80 and my Mom is fast approaching it. Even thought both ladies get around wonderfully, it wouldn’t take much for a broken hip to sideline either of them.
The kids are amped up for Christmas, and the snow has them in an even more frenzied state. They’ve sledded and snowboarded, built ramps, snowmen and igloos, and have generally stayed outside until the redness in their cheeks has become semi-permanent. On the other hand, they’ve been so busy playing that they’ve been very well behaved. This is ALWAYS a blessing. As soon as I edit it down, I’ll be posting a vid of them playing.
Only 4 days left to work this year, then I’ll be on vacation until 1/2/2010. It always seems bizarre to write dates in the new year. They come up so fast!
Peace to each of you in the coming year. Be sure to reach out and let those who you love know about it. When they’re gone, it’s too late. When that happens to you, there’s no amount of consolation that will help you forget it.

Got a new king sized sleigh bed and Winndom mattress yesterday. Bought the bed from Butterworth’s Furniture in Petersburg. It was a good buying experience, we’ll be going back there.
The mattress came from Bedcrafters on West Broad Street. We talked with Sonny, who owns the place. He was really knowledgeable, and gave us a good deal. We went in with the idea that we were going to buy the most expensive one in the store ($4200.00), but Sonny showed us a less expensive set that felt great and fit our needs better. Great service! He’s got customers for life!
